The work of Bollhalder Walser Architektur is characterised by an intensive preoccupation with architecture of different scales and typologies. We see urban planning and social and ecological considerations as the basis of all architectural design. We greatly respect the tradition of open architectural competitions in Switzerland; a significant proportion of our built projects are the result of such competitions.

Bollhalder Walser Architektur undertakes feasibility studies, concept designs, architectural competitions and other kinds of studies for both architecture and urban design projects. The consultation with public and private clients is just as much a part of the office’s expertise as complete project planning, detail design and cost management, up to and including construction management. If desired, the practice can assume overall responsibility as general planner.
